Mad About Maths! – Junior Infants

April 17, 2013

By Will

This week in Junior Infants we have been exploring and investigating number. We are so good at counting, knowing the names of and writing our numbers now. We needed a bit more of a challenge! We are learning all about how numbers are made up. Did you know that there are lots of different ways to make up 5? We used cubes, beads, compare bears, buttons and lots of others things to try and discover all the different ways of making five.

We learned that:

4 and 1 make 5

3 and 2 make 5

2 and 3 make 5

1 and 4 make 5

We had so much fun learning about our numbers. Check it out below :)
