Autumn All Around in Senior Infants!

October 22, 2013

By Will

The boys in Ms Ward’s class were busy during September and October looking for signs of Autumn. We went on a few nature walks and collected and identified lots of leaves including the oak, sycamore, horse chestnut and beech leaf. We also found some fruit including acorns, conkers, rose hips, blackberries and also pine cones. The boys were very good at ‘creeping’ around at all times so as not to scare the minibeasts in our environment. We also talked a lot about The Harvest and how the farmers are busy at work collecting their crops and getting ready for winter. Also the animals are busy at work collecting food and building their homes getting ready to hibernate. Take a look at our Autumn display and out nature table. Well done boys!
